ESL Pro League Season 13 – Group Stage Recap
The ongoing ESL Pro League Season 13 is one the biggest events we’ve seen this year in CSGO, and it plays an important role in the ESL Pro Tour circuit. This year’s prize pool has reached $750.000 and a total of 24 teams are competing for it.
We are currently halfway through the Group Stage, and groups A and B have already concluded all the matches. The entire stage will last until March 29th, after which we’ll transition into the Play-In stage.
Group A saw Heroic finish on top, with an impressive 5-0 score. The Danish team powered through the Group Stage and took 5 consecutive victories, securing themselves a spot at the Play-In. BIG was the biggest disappointment in this group. They finished last with a 1-4 score, and managed to take a single win against Complexity Gaming. This will be the end of the road for the Germans, but hopefully they can pick themselves up and do better next time.
Ninjas in Pyjamas dominated Group B, securing the first spot with a 4-1 score. After a catastrophic opening match against G2, where they lost 2-0, they managed to turn things around and climb straight to the top. Mousesports showed very little this time, except for the final match where they took a surprising win against G2 Esports. However, they still finished last, and will be leaving with just $8,000 earned.
